In my distress I called to the LORD;

Last weekend I traveled to Umbria, a region in Italy. In Umbria are the famous towns of Perugia and Assisi. We visited these, as well as participated in many "typical" activities of those who live in Umbria. 

We first went to a ceramics studio and learned how their beautiful works are made. 

And then we each had the chance to paint our own plates. I felt like a little kid again, painting my own pottery. We were also surrounded by 10-year-old Italian children doing the same thing. 

Here's mine! We picked it up yesterday after they had been fired. I think I did a pretty good job :)
