John Lennon.

So I am taking a class entirely focused on The Beatles. From it I have gained quite a love for John Lennon. When I learned that Life magazine reissued Remembering John Lennon I was ecstatic. I scanned some of my favorite photographs from the issue, though they are all incredible.

Oh how I wish I could have lived during "Beatlemania." I wish I had lived in a lot of amazing time periods, though.

God has been working wonders in my life this week. Every day I notice even more prayers He has answered. It is an incredible feeling and it has only made me want to get to know Him even more. It just gets me excited for each day because I can't wait to see what He does next. I read Psalm 4 the other day and fell in love with it.

"Answer me when I call to you,
O my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
be merciful to me and hear my prayer.

How long, O men, will you turn my
glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions
and seek false gods?
Know that the Lord has set apart the
godly for himself;
the Lord will hear when I call to him.

In your anger do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent.

Offer right sacrifices
and trust in the Lord.

Many are asking, 'Who can show us
any good?'
Let the light of your face shine upon
us, O Lord.
You have filled my heart with greater
joy
than when their grain and new wine
abound.
I will lie down and sleep in peace,
for you alone, O Lord
make me dwell in safety."

That may just be one of my favorites. I especially love the last two verses. It's basically the guidelines for life and what can come of it.

  1. I was almost going to take a Beatles class once, but it was full so I couldn't! Seemed like a really interesting class though. :)
