Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my beautiful mothers birthday.

Happy Birthday, Mom. I am so blessed to have you in my life. I wish I could be with you right now, but until then please know that I love you with all my heart. I could not ask for a more loving, compassionate, and understanding mother. You are incredible.

"I thank God every time I remember you."

A True Impact.

Greek Impact was took place at the Kappa house on Wednesday. Sorry for the delayed post, I have been slacking. But this event was truly monumental.
And it was a packed house! Praise God for His provision and His power. If it is His will, it will surely take place. We saw Him working in these past few weeks to make this happen. I was truly in disbelief the entire night. He never ceases to amaze me. I am so glad to serve Him, I am learning that life is so much better when you live it His way, the way it was designed. I am seeing Him working and there is nothing more joyful.
The speaker, Jack Easterby was fantastic as well and I am fairly sure that we had a few come to Christ that night. More people get to share in the joy that is Jesus. To see more posts on the event see Ashley or Kitty's blogs.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Inspiration Saturday.

Prepare yourselves. A lot of things have been inspiring me lately. Something about this time of the year, everything is seen in a new light.
Photos, all found on tumblr.

Music:
The new Wilco album, "The Whole Love" is absolutely fantastic. I have always appreciated the band but had never realized how much they are influenced by some of my favorite artists. When listening to the album I hear The Beatles, Pink Floyd and a little bit of Neil Young and Crazy Horse. But they have warped these sounds into their own. It is still very original and a delight to listen to.

Movies:
I had been meaning to make a whole post about this movie, but I just got too busy towards the end of the week. Tuesday night I went with my friends Ashley and Shelby to see the movie Courageous. It is a Christian movie, produced by the same as Fireproof. The movie is about five men who make a resolution to follow Christ and, through Christ's example, step up and be the men in their households. It is a man-movie, but I still enjoyed it and would recommend it to either gender. The gospel is clearly stated and portrayed through circumstances. It was a sad movie, though. I cried a lot and that means something. I do not normally cry in movies. It seems I am immune to sappiness. However, Courageous is anything but that. I highly recommend it. Watch the trailer here!

Blogs:
Julia is a blog I have enjoyed for a while now. She posts beautiful pictures, movie and TV show reviews as well as fashion photos. She has a way of posting feeling, so that once the photos end you feel you were right there, wherever the photos took place.

And a beautiful song to top it off!

Have a great Saturday! Go Gamecocks!

Ombre.

I have been seriously considering making my hair ombre. Here are a few of my favorite styles of the trend.

Any tips?
Think I can pull it off?
Advice please!

Fall.

The weather is changing in Columbia. Fall is approaching. And you know what that means...all of these things listed below...
I have one major thing I must add to this beautiful diagram of fall...SWEATERS. I love sweaters possibly more than any other item of clothing. They are soft, flattering and wonderful. Their coziness makes me want to sit by the fire and sip apple cider. Fall may just be my favorite season. Especially for online window shopping, which has been a common activity of mine in the past few weeks. I have some great finds, I think. The only thing missing is money to pay for all of this. So for now, I will just marvel at the lovely garments. Hopefully after I have imagined wearing them enough the desire to own them will fade. At least, that's what my logic professor tells me. But seriously, these are sweaters, I think I will always want them. These photos are not mine and the sources can either be found on my tumblr or pinterest.

Fall makes me so happy, I'm not sure why. The idea of corduroy, leather boots, warm drinks, hats and orange leaves is so delightful. It is the time for sitting outside, enjoying the dry air and spending time with great friends and family. I hope you feel the same. What are your favorite sweaters? What about fall do you enjoy?

Be careful not to do your "acts of righteousness" before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

Full Swing.

I am so sorry to have abandoned this blog for the past week and a half. Life has been more crazy than I can even begin to describe. A mix of good and bad but all the while demanding circumstances have left me drained. Even as I write this, I am avoiding some possibly more important schoolwork. Oh well, I just love you all that much! I wish I could post some pictures of what I have been doing these past few days, but it must be a secret until big/little reveal. For those who may not be familiar with Sorority life, upon joining a chapter each new member is assigned a "big" making them a "little." These combinations grow into "families" and I am about to be a big! The process involves painting numerous gifts so, other than schoolwork, I have been decorating all week. I have also begun the process for studying abroad next semester! I am planning on going to Florence, Italy and I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I think it will be a valuable and unforgettable experience and I can't wait to blog from there! Please let me know if you live there, know of some places I must see, or have any other advice!

In other news, I went to Universal Studios last weekend and have yet to post about my experience. It was a blast and I have some photos to share with you. I hope to get back in to the blogging sphere this week, if circumstances allow.
