Inspiration Saturday.

So instead of posting some more of the pictures I have been taking this week, all of which include either a dog, a horse, or something in between, I have decided to feature all of the things that have been inspiring me lately.

Photos:
found on tumblr or pinterest

Websites
birchbox.com--For 10 dollars a month you get a monthly shipment of trial size beauty supplies! What a great way to try new products! Something I am always up for.

Blogs:
Your Only Blackswan-- She has got the fashion/personal blog down! I am in love with her style, and she always knows how to balance outfit posting and personal photos, something I aspire to achieve some day.
And She Loved--I just found her blog yesterday and I am already obsessed! She mentioned the website birchbox.com (see above) so how could I not be an automatic follower?
Knight Cat--I have been following this blog for a while now and I always look forward to her posts! She picks the most inspiring, original photos and designer collections.
Absolutely Mrs. K--Such a beautiful blog and even more beautiful person! She is the sweetest girl with a unique sense of style that is always a breath of fresh air to the often suffocated Southern girl.
Live & Enliven --Her blog is always featuring such interesting things like artwork, food, and anything else you can think of! I love this blog, I think it is adorable, informative, and practical!

Books:
Through Painted Deserts-Donald Miller
I am truly obsessed with this author. Have you ever felt like you have found your writing soul mate? Well that's how I feel and I will be mentioning this man in many posts to come. Please read Blue Like Jazz if you haven't. Through Painted Deserts is the second book by him I am reading. I just started it yesterday and can't put it down! His writing is beautiful and refreshing. And his stories are even better. He makes me want to do crazy things and have tons of wonderful experiences, just so that I can reflect on them in the same nostalgic yet matured and appreciative manner.

"Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens."
Psalm 68:10

Enjoy your weekend!

Peace.

I hope you all are having a wonderful wednesday. My mouth is feeling much better now, so expect an outfit post soon. I thought I would mention some of my recent beauty product purchases. But first, my cat.

Ok, new favorite lipstick. Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Romance. A fantastic everyday color. I was iffy about buying Chanel's new shine collection. I am not a big lipgloss wearer, but I have been converted. It is so easy to wear and apply!
Some other things I am obsessed with: Laura Mercier Lip Silk, Bumble and Bumble Texture Creme (with my hair, I need all the texture I can get), Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer (light and easy), Bare Minerals Mineral Veil (who doesn't love this stuff?), and Burt's Bees Deep Cleansing Cream
I saw this picture on tumblr last night. It truly resonated with me for some reason. There is nothing I'd rather do than sit on a bench, reading a fantastic novel, with nothing in front of me but a beautiful lawn and an extraordinary, timeless building.

Lately I have been wondering if I should become an English major. Currently I am studying Public Relations. There's nothing wrong with it. In fact, I am almost guaranteed to have work. The world will always need PR. But is it for me? I love reading and writing. I want to go places, and document my experiences. I feel most comfortable when I am typing my heart out on this keyboard (which is burning my fingers right now, as I am sitting by the pool). I love learning. There are so many subjects I would study if I had the chance, and the time. I think English can give me that. Or at least a part of it. I'm not sure if PR will take me in the direction that holds all I want to do in this life. I also have been thinking about the kinds of people I will encounter. In PR one never represents himself, it is always a person or a company. I want to represent me, and in the process, learn a little more about this "me." And the people I meet are on the same journey. To figure out who they are, and communicate to others how they see this chaotic world in which we live.
Just some thoughts. What do you think?

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, with prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:6
