More Macon Photos.

The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!"
Matthew 8:27

Here are some more Macon photos for today.

If you haven't already, get out there and VOTE! I don't care who you vote for, just do it! We are so blessed to live in a country where we as citizens truly have a say!
Happy Election Day!

The Grapevine.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.
Romans 8:26-27
One of my most favorite verses. The goodness of the Spirit.

Last weekend I returned to Macon. We had such a fun time. This is what I wore to the 25th anniversary concert of a local band called The Grapevine.

Returning to Macon.

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Romans 8:25

Today I return to Macon. Have a great weekend everyone.

Cold.

I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins.
John 8:24
Jesus is THE ONE!

This is what I am feeling right now. Layers upon layers upon layers of warm, fuzzy goodness.

North.

All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.
Philippians 3:15
We have such an incredible God. There will always be things and concepts that we don't understand, but our God will make them clear to us! He loves us so much, He wants us to understand. And the more we understand, the more we will love Him and feel His presence. I am just blown away by this passage. If you have time, please read Philippians 3. It is jam-packed full of truth.
These past few weeks have been stressful, to say the least. But God has been showing me that even when I feel as if I have nothing figured out, even when I feel indecisive and uncomfortable, He is still perfect. He is still looking after me and making His plans become a reality. It is during these times that I find real peace in Him.

I am so blessed to have the opportunity to visit such interesting, beautiful little towns for my southern studies class. It is a photography class and each of us are required to pick a town with a population of under 1000 people and photograph it. I chose North. Yes, North, South Carolina. Once the class is finished, I'll post my final pictures.

It was a cold and windy day, yesterday. It made for some very interesting shots.
Thanks Maggie for the picture :)

October Brunch.

I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
Philippians 3:10-11
I am obsessing over this verse. I find Paul's prayer so beautiful. His desire is to know Christ.
I usually feel like Paul's faith is unattainable for me. He always seems to be getting something that I'm not. But when I read this I felt a wave of comfort. His desire is just like mine.
To know Christ and to be moved by Him.

Yesterday was our initiation brunch. I am so excited to finally call 105 of our new members official Kappa sisters! Here's what I wore.

Thanks Shelby for taking these pictures!
