I love this dress. It has long sleeves, which for me normally isn't ideal for summer, but it is so light and airy I couldn't help but see it as a wonderful dress for summer nights. I love the lace on the sleeves and hem. And its wide sleeves are so fun! 

I wore this outfit to my aunt's birthday dinner at The Melting Pot...mmmmmmmm.

I love to spruce up a simple summer outfit with some gold jewelry! You know, those go-to pieces that seem to always work. 

Last week my mom cleaned out her closet and gave me so much clothes! I got a whole new wardrobe for free! The shirt and the shorts were once hers. You will be seeing much of her closet on me this summer.

I have only a short post today, but it is about something I hope you all will like! There is a great thing happening on twitter right now. It is better described by one of my favorite bloggers Tiny Twig, here. But basically, two women began to read the Soul Detox reading plan on the YouVersion Bible app. And in order to hold each other accountable, they began to tweet insight and advice with the hashtag #shereadstruth. I think this is such a fantastic idea and have joined in!! And it isn't too late for you to join, too! They are only on Day 7. So far, I am in love with this reading plan. The devotions are short, sweet, and to-the-point, with fantastic passages. 

This is such a great way to meet other women of faith from around the country!

A beautiful verse. So much truth. 

Yesterday was my beautiful cousin's high school graduation. Though I miss Florence, I am happy to be back in the beautiful South. The ceremony was hosted by a historic school in Raleigh, in the most beautiful lawn, shaded by oaks. The food provided for us was nothing short of Southern, and I was so happy to have been a part of it all. 

In honor of the tradition I have missed so much, I went for a classic Southern look. This dress is the definition of "bouncy-flouncy". I'm not sure if flouncy is a word, spell check says it is. And so there we have it. My dress is flouncy. 

I bought this flouncy dress at one of my favorite boutiques in Mebane, NC. I posted about it a while back. If you live in the area, you definitely need to check this place out! It's called Hen Feathers and it is the most adorable shop. I want to spend hours and hours in there exploring their clothes and other goodies.

See the man in the funny hat with the drum on his back? One afternoon, while I was living in Firenze, I heard music and drums from outside our apartment. I went to look outside and this little man was putting on a show! I miss the little things like this.
