Father and Son

Finally, a photoshoot. This one is at Lassiter Falls in Raleigh. Man, I've missed this place. My beautiful friend Caroline was posing with me, and Molly was taking the awesome pictures.

 Following our photoshoot and lunch at Lily's Pizza, we went downtown to my favorite vintage store, Father and Son. They have records out the wazoo. My kind of heaven.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond

 Yay for new shoes! I got these Deena and Ozzy boots from Urban Outfitters. I have been wanting some brown ankle boots for a long time.

Daisy really likes walking and sitting on my keyboard. She always hits the volume and next song buttons, maybe she was a DJ in a past life?

But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish.

2 Peter 2:12

This passage is all about keeping those serving the devil far from your heart. I love how verse 12 mentions that these people are like animals, "creatures of instinct." We are the only creatures created with the choice to control and refrain from our instincts. God made us like that so we could serve and glorify Him. We have the option, choose the right one. 

I have listening to a lot of Pink Floyd lately, please listen to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond." It is a fantastic song.

Words to live by. I love that it all begins with faith and ends with love. From faith comes love, not the other way around. Through faith we have the reason to be good, the passion for knowledge, the heart for self-control, the desire for perseverance, the role-model for godliness, and the capacity for love. Love comes from God. We cannot understand the true meaning of love until we look to God, and not until we have all these other characteristics as foundation beneath it. 

A New Look

I GOT A TUMBLR...finally.

And going through all the posts of people I'm following got me in a super artsy mood. I don't know what it was, maybe the coffee, but suddenly I wanted to change my hair and take pictures. Then edit them. Below are the results.
